(Badger Herald) (U-WIRE) MADISON, Wis. -- Many Americans may eat genetically engineered food without considering the unknown potential health risks.
Genetically modified food is everywhere in the United States. Over a third of the corn and about half the soybeans grown in the United States are grown from genetically modified seeds. Over 70 million acres of genetically modified crops were planted in the United States last year. With bans against these products in Europe and limited regulation in America, public concern over the safety of genetically modified food is growing.
