U. Oklahoma's intersession class a vacation

(Oklahoma Daily) (U-WIRE) NORMAN, Okla. -- Canyons, cliffs and camping will be part of a University of Oklahoma intersession class called ANTH 4990, Pueblo Prehistory of the Colorado Plateau.
"The course includes one week of traditional classroom instruction, during which the students will be introduced to the archaeology of the Southwest," said Richard Pailes, associate professor of anthropology. Then students will go on a camping trip across New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah.
The class takes students out of the classroom and students said they like getting to interact with what they are learning.
