USA Tennis Month Is Underway
NEW YORK (AP) -- Tennis, everyone.
USA Tennis Month is under way, with an array of activities across the country that feature tournaments, festivals, lessons, exhibitions and low-cost tennis programs.
On Monday, Tennessee Gov. Don Sundquist is renaming his state Tennis-E. Actor Danny Glover and tennis stars Jim Courier, Alexandra Stevenson and Patrick McEnroe will join the Grammy-nominated group SHeDaisy for a full-day music and tennis festival.
In addition, 139 communities across the country are receiving grants to increase participation in their local tennis programs and expand or develop local tennis ...
