ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 11 (UPI) -- Paul Konerko hit an inside-the-park home
run, drove in four runs and scored four times Tuesday night as the Chicago White
Sox outslugged the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 13-6.
Ray Durham led off a game with a home run for the 11th time in his career as he
sent Esteban Yan's 1-0 pitch over the center-field fence. Yan struck out Jose
Valentin and Frank Thomas before Magglio Ordonez singled up the middle. Konerko
then hit a 2-1 pitch off the top of the left-center field fence and slid home
before the relay to the plate to give Chicago a 3-0 lead. It was the
