New Yorker 3 Wins Magazine Awards

NEW YORK (AP) -- The New Yorker took top honors at the National Magazine Awards Wednesday, receiving prizes for general excellence, fiction and public interest.

The hat trick by the respected weekly, which had received 11 nominations for the magazine industry's biggest awards, brought the total number of awards the magazine has won to 26, more than any other.
