GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) The long-awaited sheriff's report on the Columbine High School shootings says the rampage lasted only 30 minutes and at least six people had been killed or wounded before the first panicked call reached police, the Denver Rocky Mountain News reported today.
The report also disputes at least some of the allegations that blame the tragedy on delays by Jefferson County Sheriff John Stone and his deputies, the newspaper said.
Teen-age gunmen Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 students and a teacher before committing suicide in the April 20, 1999, rampage.
