Fed: Mobile phones more dangerous for kids, says study

MELBOURNE, May 11 AAP - A British government study today warned that radiation from
mobile phones could be a greater threat to young children than adults.

The Stewart Report said children were at a greater risk of contracting cancer from
handset radiation emissions because their skulls were thinner than adults.

It said there was still no conclusive proof that mobile phones harmed human health
and called for more research.

Australian Consumers Association spokesman Charles Britton said warnings about mobile
phones were precautionary until definite links could be established between phone use
