Bangladesh and Bhutan have agreed to further strengthen the existing
bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries
as well as for peace in the region.
"We discussed a wide range of issues covering bilateral matters,
regional and sub-regional cooperation and global issues of common concern."
Bhutanese Foreign Minister Jigme Y Thinley told newsmen after the officials
talks between the two sides in the city yesterday.
He described the talks as "fruitful, productive and very
satisfactory."
The Bhutanese Foreign Minister led his country's delegation to the
talks held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was assisted by Bhutanese
