Swim: Suits here to stay but not in age group meets Fraser

SYDNEY, May 19 AAP - Australia's greatest Olympic swimmer, Dawn Fraser, believes the
controversial long john swimsuits are here to stay - but says they should be banned from
age group competitions.
The first person to win swimming gold medals in the same event across three Olympics
said the sport could become elitist if age group swimmers were allowed to wear the suits
in their competitions.
Fraser, who has been pool-side for most of the Olympic trials at the Sydney International
Aquatic Centre, said she saw no reason for the long johns to be banned from Australian
