(Brown Daily Herald) (U-WIRE) PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Full of passion, intelligence, and dreams, a handful of soon-to-be-graduates were awarded everything from national awards such as the Fulbright, to Brown-sponsored awards such as the Emery, Baker, and Arnold.

"It's very hard to win a fellowship. The competition is fierce and it gets harder every year," said Lynn Gunzberg, associate dean of the college, in an earlier interview with The Herald.

Gunzberg also said that fellowships are not awarded simply for straight As. She said that leadership qualities, extracurriculars, and public service matter as well.
