In the English corner is the father, Herbert Hirsch, yekke to his fingertips if not a little beyond and a refugee from Hitler. In the American corner is the son RRRawbeen, a.k.a. Robin Hirsch, actor and playwright. The ups and downs of their relationship form the backbone of this entertaining and fascinating memoir.
