NEAL CONAN, Host: From National Public Radio in Washington, D.C.,
this is Weekend Edition. I'm Neal Conan.
This week, the 51 day stand-off in Waco, Texas came to a fiery and
tragic end.
EYE-WITNESS VOICE: I can't tell you the shock and the horror that
all of us felt when we saw those flames coming out there - it was,
`Oh, my God, they're killing themselves.'
CONAN: More than 80 people died as the Branch Davidian compound went
up in flames - a fire authorities say was set by followers of cult
leader David Koresh. Only nine people survived the inferno, triggered
after FBI agents moved in with tear gas.
