SUSAN STAMBERG, Host: In Washington, D.C., these days the president'
s new, the Congress is new but the winter is feeling very, very old.
We are craving spring in your nation's capital, which is probably
what prompted a phone call to Ketzel Levine, our siren of soil, the
Weekend Edition commentator who gives gardening tips to flower-hungry
folks like us. I invited Ketzel to meet me at what I laughingly refer
to as my garden, which rolls down a corner lot by our postage-stamp
size house in a neighborhood about 20 minutes from this studio.
