is Weekend Edition. I'm Liane Hansen.

HANSEN: In Lakeville, Massachusetts, a wild Canada goose is loose
on a driving range and since the bird arrived two weeks ago, she has
been frantically collecting golf balls. She thinks they're eggs and
is trying to hatch them. Game officials say it may be that the goose
cannot produce eggs and is just following its instincts with the golf
balls.
Fast balls, curve balls, sinkers and sliders will be heading into
Kendra Hine's [sp] future. She became the first woman since 1952
to sign a contract to play for a men's professional ...
