MARTIN LAWRENCE, Comedian: [from tape of stand-up routine] Don't
some white people get funky with you when it's a lot of white people,
and you're the only black person? They get funky with you, that
right? [sound of applause] They act like you annoy them. [sound
of laughter] You know what I'm saying? You can't ask a simple question.
You can go in a supermarket - there's 20 white people around, and
you're the only black. You walk in the supermarket, `Hi, how ya doin'
. Excuse me, can you tell me where I can get some toothpaste from?'
