SCOTT SIMON, Host: The streets of a neighborhood in New York City
are backdrop for the movie, The Saint of Fort Washington. They are
also the home to two men, the streets and an enormous city-operated
armory which serves as a homeless shelter. The Saint of Fort Washington
stars Matt Dillon as the gentle, schizophrenic Matthew, and Danny
Glover is Jerry, his street-wise mentor who teaches Matthew how to
do simple things like count change.
