SIMON: [music] This is Weekend Edition. I'm Scott Simon. Coming
up on a day when we hear that Mickey Mantle has hospitalized himself
to defeat a drinking problem, we talked to writer Pete Hamill about
his memoir, A Drinking Life. But first, the motto of New Hampshire
is Live Free or Die and Article 10 of the state constitution guarantees
citizens the right to revolt against the government. But like most
of the United States, New Hampshire took a dim view of revolution
at the height of the Cold War and 30 years later, state law makers
