JACKI LYDEN, Host: Economic constraints prompt new alternatives.
The financially strapped state of Massachusetts has embarked on the
country's most ambitious experiment in allowing private groups to
run publicly funded schools. By 1995, classes will begin across the
state at 15 charter schools. From Boston, NPR's Anthony Brooks reports
on the education group Youth Build Boston, and its proposal to revamp
public education.
