Chapter VI

Gulliver next visits the part of the Academy dealing with political
Projectors; here are people whose sole employ is to think up schemes for
running a government and it is here that Gulliver comes across some of the
most outlandish schemes he has yet encountered; for example, some of these
Projectors actually propose that Kings choose their favorites and award
offices on the basis of the wisdom and virtue of the aspirants. They propose
further that ministers be taught to consult the public good and that princes
realize that their interest is identical with that of the people.
