Since the youth are our future, it's only fitting that we start this week's column by talking about the participants in this year's Eubie Blake Cultural Art Center's Summer Jazz Workshop. The program was called "An Evening of Jazz."
Coppin State University's James Weldon Johnson Auditorium was an excellent room for the celebration of the work done by the Eubie Blake Youth Jazz ensemble under the direction of tenor saxophonist Steve "Ironman" Carrington and his co-instructors guitarist Kevit Hiatt and drummer William Goffigan.
