Centennial Park was built for the public. It was constructed in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Ga. - the center of attention for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. Most of the exhibits were free and some were off limits to the public.

Right across the street, Coca-Cola Olympic City was available to attend at a nominal fee.

But early Saturday morning, July 27, a bomb exploded in Centennial Park, close to the A.T. & T. pavillion that left two dead and 110 injured.
