Max Roach to perform at State Theatre.

Friday night, Aug. 2, will be a special evening for metro Detroit jazz lovers. On that evening the Graystone International Jazz Museum will present a fabulous "Homecoming" concert featuring the Max Roach Quartet, Straight Ahead and the New Graystone Orchestra with Alturo Shelton and Ron Scott serving as emcees. This special event will take place at the State Theatre, located on Woodward Ave., one block down from the Fox Theatre.

The "homecoming" theme is to reflect the return home to Detroit of the many jazz musicians who have relocated to other cities but are still proud to call Detroit home. General admission ...
