LISA McREE, Host: Michael Palin began his first career as an entertainer
with Monty Python's Flying Circus. You remember that, the irreverent
British comedy troupe of the '60s and '70s. He continued to act in
films, "Fierce Creatures" most recently, and, of course, "A Fish Called
Wanda." But his other passion is globe-trotting. He has real wanderlust.
And his televised travelogues began in 1989 with "Around the World
in 80 Days," fantastic series. Then "Pole to Pole" he went three
years later. Now, full circle, he travels 50,000 miles around the
Pacific Rim. And Michael Palin joins us in the studio this morning.
