Asian American History Examined in New Reference Volume.

The fastest growing ethnic group in the United States, Asian Americans, actually includes more than 30 separate ethnic groups that trace their roots to Asia and the islands of the Pacific Ocean. This diverse population is examined in a new student-reference book entitled "Asian American Almanac" from UXL.

The volume, intended for students in grades five and up, explores the history and culture of the major ethnic groups comprising Asian America. Organized into 17 chapters, the book begins with a glossary of terms and a list of sources is provided at the end of each to pursue further reading.
