FIFTY years ago, the Third Reich finally came to an end. At Landsberg Prison in occupied Germany, a young floor sander from Revere, Massachusetts, executed Hitler's cabinet members in two hours on two scaffolds. The executions were held in private. Even photographs taken of the executed men, who were secretly cremated that night, have never been released.
