SUSAN STAMBERG, Host: President Clinton and Russian President Boris
Yeltsin complete their two-day summit here in Washington today. They'
re expected to focus on business deals and foreign investment. These
topics have replaced the high-stakes issues that preoccupied U.S.
and Soviet leaders during the Cold War. Yesterday, President Clinton
welcomed Russia's president to the White House with a full measure
of pomp and ceremony, and both leaders declared that their transition
from Cold War rivals to post-Cold War partners is now complete. NPR'
