of its earthquake. But the rest of the country is having a hard time
as well. People are dying, almost five dozen so far, because of record-
breaking cold in most of the country East of the Rockies. Millions
of others have had to alter their routines this week as cold and freezing
winds from the north forced schools, offices and transportation systems
to shut down, cars to die ...
