JACKI LYDEN, Host: The show must go on. While NEA cuts are threatened
on Capitol Hill, arts organizations are emphasizing what their public
mission is. In Baltimore, we visited several organizations, from
the large to the tiny. At the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, a musical
play was being rehearsed for a young audience, very young. Mr. Oboe
was chasing Mr. Bassoon. This concert is for 3 to 6-year-olds.

JOHN GIDWITZ, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: We're rehearsing right
now for what we call a Tiny Tots Concert. We do special programs
for between 90,000 and 100,000 youngsters every year.
