WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of
the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and Senator
Kay
Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX), Chair of the Surface Transportation and
Merchant
Marine Subcommittee, today announced a Subcommittee hearing on S.668,
that
would provide an exemption to U.S. coastwise passenger trade laws
for Alaska;
S.803, the United States Cruise Tourism Act of 1997; and the domestic
cruise
ship industry in general.
