Hillary Rodham Clinton, beleaguered of late by charges she misled investigators
and the press about her role in Whitewater- and travel office-related
affairs, defends her conduct on the eve of her book tour.
SCOTT SIMON, Host: Hillary Rodham Clinton began a book tour this
week, but she's not asked many questions about that book, It Takes
a Village, which details Mrs. Clinton's concerns for America's children.
At the same time, a Senate committee is investigating her legal and
financial affairs during the mid-1980s, when she was a partner in
the Rose Law Firm of Little Rock, her husband was governor of Arkansas,
