Two former South Korean Presidents have been indicted for their role
in a 1979 coup d'tat. Chun Doo Hwan and Roh Tae Woo were indicted
after the National Assembly this week extended the statute of limitations.

Two former South Korean presidents were indicted today for their
role in a 1979 coup d'etat. Chun Doo Hwan, believed to be the mastermind
of the military takeover, was charged with insurrection, Roh Tae Woo
with aiding and abetting. The charges against Chun concern the military
insurrection that installed him in power from 1980 through 1987 when
he was forced from office over ...
