LINDA WERTHEIMER, Host: Scientists trawling in deep waters off New
Zealand have captured a giant squid, one of the largest ever found.
The creature was a female weighing almost a ton, close to 26 feet
long. These are elusive creatures. Only about 20 squid of this size
have ever been found.
The scientists aboard the research vessel froze the squid and
