Film critic Elvis Mitchell and Scott Simon discuss the new John Woo
film, his second American feature, "Broken Arrow", starring John Travolta
and Christian Slater.
SCOTT SIMON, Host: The new movie Broken Arrow is the second American
studio feature from John Woo, the Hong Kong action director, and between
the explosions and Uzi gunfire, the plot line goes a little like this
- Bomber pilot Vic Deakins has stolen some nuclear warheads and won'
t give them back. Worse still, he smokes cigarettes. The best thing
about Vic Deakins is that he's played on John Travolta. Now hot on
the trail of this upstart pilot is his more mature, if younger, former
copilot, ...
