The State Department is looking into activities of Louis Farrakhan
while he was on a recent tour that included Iran, Iraq, and Libya.
Qadaffi allegedly offered him $1 billion, which he said he will accept.
BOB EDWARDS, Host: This is Morning Edition; I'm Bob Edwards. Louis
Farrakhan makes no apologies about his recent trip to Africa, Asia,
and the Middle East. The State Department had accused the Nation
of Islam leader of cavorting with dictators during his visits to Iraq,
Libya and Iran. Cheryl Corley reports that during a speech in Chicago
last night, Farrakhan defended his trip before an enthusiastic crowd.
