Last year, a team of 450 physicists discovered the missing quark, a
feat worthy of winning a Nobel prize. But since there is a three-person
limit on the Nobel prize, it's doubtful all 450 can be recognized.
ROBERT SIEGEL, Host: Melissa Franklin [sp] is a professor of physics
at Harvard University. She was part of an enormous team of physicists
that discovered the top quark, the last of a handful of fundamental
particles- particles which make up atoms. She doesn't expect there'
ll be a prize for this discovery and she sent us these thoughts.
