Listeners of "All Things Considered" make corrections to aired segments
dealing with Nashville, Andrew Johnson, James Polk, Andrew Jackson,
and cigarette advertising aimed at young children.
LINDA WERTHEIMER, Host: We have a set of corrections from listeners
on our piece on the new statue of Andrew Johnson recently unveiled
on the grounds of the State Capitol in Tennessee. I led off by saying
that Nashville had never memorialized Johnson. Scott Smith at our
local station writes, `Apparently during your recent visit to Nashville
you neglected to visit the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. There
