with one role, audiences refuse to accept them in others.

time Hollywood film director and you get to decide who's going to
star in your next film, based perhaps on your favorite novel or some
real life drama in the news? Some actors seem perfect for certain
roles, don't they? Critic Bob Mondello says the answer is yes and
he examines the consequences.
