A Communist Party and nationalist coalition in the Russian Duma today
voted to reinstate the Soviet Union, declaring those who oversaw its
dissolution, including President Yeltsin, to have acted illegally.

In Moscow today, a parliamentary resolution was passed calling
for the reintegration of the Soviet Union. Communists and their allies
were joined by the far-right nationalists of Vladimir Zhirinovsky
