The agency says it is overhauling its personnel and acquisition systems
to make it easier to modernize air traffic control. Air traffic control
problems continue to plague the agency, the latest in Pittsburgh.
ROBERT SIEGEL, Host: This is All Things Considered; I'm Robert Siegel.
LINDA WERTHEIMER, Host: And I'm Linda Wertheimer. The Federal Aviation
Administration announced today that the agency will put into place
a new and simpler system of regulation covering both personnel and
acquisition, changes which should make it easier for the agency to
modernize air traffic systems.
