Ketzel Levine shows Scott Simon around her garden and she points out
her favorite plants. She says springtime is her favorite time in the
garden, because it's thrilling to see buds spring to life.
SCOTT SIMON, Host: Spring is a little late this year, but finally
in Washington, D.C. the cherry trees are budding, the crocuses are
blooming, daffodils are peering around every corner, and, you know,
the astroturf on my balcony is greening up once again.
[sound of sprinkler]
SCOTT SIMON: Why doesn't anything grow out there? So beautiful a
week it's been, we couldn't drag our own dryad of the hydrangeas,
Ketzel Levine, out of her garden, so, instead, we invited ourselves ...
