Reverend Dr. Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University, held separate-
but-equal views on race relations 40 years ago. Those have changed,
but he says his views on homosexuality will not, based on the Gospel.
BOB EDWARDS, Host: In choosing their commencement speakers, schools
call on a variety of achievers. Some speakers make news. Some move,
entertain, or all too often bore the graduates. And sometimes the
mere choice of the speaker makes a point.
Earlier this month, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas addressed
the graduating class at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
