Today marks the 10th annual celebration of all the Bettys in the world.
Betty Patterson, co-founder of the Betty Club, Inc., explains to Susan
Stamberg why all the Bettys want to keep the name popular.
SUSAN STAMBERG, Host: Today in Grants Pass, Oregon, a special group
of people will gather for an annual picnic - the 10th annual picnic,
in fact, to celebrate being Betty. About 50 people named Betty will
be there to honor themselves and all the Bettys of this world.
On the line from Grants Pass, Betty Patterson [sp]. She's president
and co-founder of the Betty Club, Inc. [interviewing] Betty, how
come you do this annual homage to Bettys?
