"Louisiana Purchase", Irving Berlin's spoof of sex and politics in
New Orleans, is back on stage for the first time in over 50 years
after the original musical score was unearthed at the Library of Congress.

sex and politics in New Orleans - it is back on stage in New York
City for the first time in more than 50 years. In addition to Irving
Berlin's music, the production featured ballets choreographed by George
Ballanchine. Louisiana Purchase was Broadway's biggest hit in 1941,
but has not been performed in New York since then.
