In Burundi, Hutu rebels and Tutsi governing forces are using radio
to widen racial divisions, much as they did during the 1994 Rwandan
genocide. But a new radio program is countering these divisive broadcasts.

on radio in Burundi in Central Africa. Burundi is on the edge of
genocidal war. African leaders are meeting today in Arusha, Tanzania,
seeking to avoid further ethnic violence.
