Ross Perot and Richard Lamm addressed the Reform Party convention last
night in Long Beach, California, each trying to win over the support
of the members to earn the nomination for the party.
ALEX CHADWICK, Host: The Reform Party has finished part one of its
two-part convention to choose its presidential nominee. Supporters
of the third-party effort are voting this week to determine the winner
of the contest between party founder, billionaire Ross Perot and his
challenger, former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm. Last night both
candidates delivered nationally televised speeches before a convention
audience in Long Beach, California.
