ASHA BLAKE: Overseas now. Chinese authorities are putting out an alert
in the event the bird flu first detected in Hong Kong turns up in
mainland China. Now, at the same time, in Hong Kong, this is day
two of drastic measures that are being taken in an effort to stop
the spread of disease. The story now from ABC's Lucrezia Cuen. LUCREZIA
CUEN, ABC News: (voice-over) Leaving nothing to chance, the Hong Kong
government is continuing to slaughter all birds that may potentially
carry the deadly bird flu virus. Even baby chicks which test free
of the virus are not exempt from the extermination. Gloved and masked
government workers bundle the birds in bags and gas them ...
