REGARDING THE CIVIL RIGHTS DIVISION OF THE UNITED STATES JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
Mr. Chairman, my name is Roger Clegg, and I am the general counsel
for
the Center for Equal Opportunity, a nonprofit Section 501(c)(3) research
and educational organization that is devoted to civil rights, bilingual
education, and immigration policy issues. I was a Deputy Assistant
Attorney
General in the Civil Rights Division from 1987 to 1991.
