Forest Service's Financial Mismanagement To Be Focus Of Joint Congressional Hearing; Wasteful Spending, Inaccurate Records & Poor Management To Be Probed

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Three U.S. House Committees will conduct a joint oversight hearing on the management of the U.S. Forest Service and seek answers to a number of financial problems uncovered in several General Accounting Office (GAO) reports.

The joint hearing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. March 26th, in 1324 Longworth HOB. The three committees participating in the hearing will be the House Budget Appropriations and Resource Committees. The witnesses ...
