GRAMS INTRODUCES SOCIAL SECURITY AMENDMENT

"My amendment would be a first step in reforming the system" says Budget Committee member

Washington, D.C. - U S. Senator Rod Grams today introduced an amendment which calls for the Senate to use any budget surplus to reduce the Social Security payroll tax and to establish personal retirement accounts for working Americans. The Sense of the Senate resolution also calls on Congress and the President to refrain from using the surplus to finance general government programs and other spending initiatives.
