Mr. Chairman, I would first like to thank you for the opportunity
to appear
before the Subcommittee today to discuss the issues related to Inspectors
General. As we mark the 20th anniversary of the Inspector General
Act,
it is important for the Congress to take a close look at the role
Inspectors
General play today and how their role should evolve to meeting changing
needs.
